Andrew Carroll is the editor of several books, including 101 Great American Poems (Dover, 1998), Golden Opportunities: A Volunteer Guide for Americans Over Fifty (Peterson's, 1994), and Volunteer USA: a Comprehensive Guide to Worthy Causes That Need You (Ballantine, 1991; out of print). If you are interested in books, you can custom book report and inspired by an annotation or analysis, you can be interested in the book and read it in full, or, noting the main, key points, write something yourself.

In addition, you cannot deny the benefits of literature, for example, in our report "Promoting Literacy Through Poetry: The American Poetry and Literacy Project's Impact" you will be able to see how much literature (reading and writing) affects our lives.

Carroll is also executive director of the American Poetry and Literacy Project, a national nonprofit organization based in Washington, DC that promotes literacy and encourages a greater public appreciation of poetry. He believes in poetry's power to help individuals of all ages learn to read and appreciate language at its finest. Since it was created in 1993, the APL Project has distributed more than 250,000 free poetry books nationwide, in schools, hospitals, prisons, supermarkets and other public venues. The APL Project has recently begun collaborating with Yellow Pages publishers to feature poetry in their directories. Presently, over 15,000,000 telephone directories with great poetry displayed throughout their listings are being distributed in every region of the United States. The APL Project's goal is to have poetry in 50,000,000 Yellow Pages by the year 2000.
